The way of using it is very simple but still not really convenient as an automatic popup would be very better. Here you can try this extension called Fingerfox, it's an xpi file which should install small Text in your FF status bar so that you can click on it and show the Fingerfox popup. I'm in the early phase of developpment of a Firefox extension which should allow the user to use DigitalPersona (the soft part of fingerprint reader) with Firefox.
